Of the nine alumni platforms surveyed in June 2026, only four publish a clear price; the rest are quote-based. The market spans €0 (HelloAsso) to over $8,000/year (Hivebrite, third-party estimate). Here are the figures, their sources, and what this opacity reveals.

What the observatory reveals

First takeaway: opacity is the norm. Five of the nine platforms don't publish a price grid. For the buyer — a school, a university, an alumni association — this means you can't compare or budget without entering a sales cycle. Price transparency thus becomes a selection criterion in itself.

Second takeaway: three price families. The generalist tools (free HelloAsso, Wild Apricot, Mighty Networks) are the most affordable but not alumni-specialised. The enterprise players (Hivebrite, Graduway) target large communities at several thousand euros per year. How to read these figures before buying

  • Always ask for the 3-year total cost (subscription + setup + migration + training), not the entry price.
  • Watch for transaction fees (e.g. Mighty Networks) that add to the displayed price as soon as you collect dues.
  • Quote-based doesn't mean expensive by definition — but it deprives you of comparison. Demand a written, costed proposal.
  • A public price + a free trial let you test on your real data before committing.
